This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This is a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. Each of those requests has to reach the court or the sheriff's office directly. For an emergency, call 911.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Start with the kind of question you have, then use the office that owns it:
- Whether a case shows an active warrant: contact Cass County District Court Court Administration, which keeps the filed case, the hearing history, and the order behind the warrant.
- What the county publishes: read the daily warrants PDF linked from the sheriff's Detention Center and Jail page, then confirm anything you find with the court.
- A bench warrant after a missed date: contact the district court that set the case. In Cass County that court sits in Walker.
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: speak with a licensed Minnesota attorney and the issuing court about an appearance, a recall, or posting bond.
- A traffic citation or fine: use the state court payment routes or call the county traffic line at 218-547-7215.
- An ordinance or city citation: the district court hears city ordinance cases, and the city police department keeps the report if a city officer wrote it.
For a county case, the first call is usually Court Administration: Cass County District Court Court Administration, second floor of the courthouse, 303 Minnesota Avenue W (state court pages show 300), Walker, MN 56484, mailing PO Box 3000, phone 218-888-5150, fax 218-364-8271, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For the published list or a sheriff-held record, contact the Cass County Sheriff's Office Records Division, 303 Minnesota Avenue W, Walker, MN 56484, phone 218-547-7306, weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The sheriff's main line is 218-547-1424, and the nonemergency toll-free number is 800-450-2677.
If someone is already in custody, the jail handles custody and release questions. The Detention Center lists the jail administrator at 218-547-7361. The public daily warrant list and the in-custody report are two separate documents, and the court remains the source for the case status.
Written requests for public data can be sent to the responsible department under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. Describe the record narrowly, say whether you want to inspect it or receive copies, and keep the date you sent the request.
